It's been too long!

Wow! I haven't posted in FOREVER! It's been so crazy...sick kids, sick mommy, and the holidays. But I'm back and ready to start posting regularly! I've been collecting lots of new goodies and have lots of reviews to do. Palettes, mascaras, lipsticks, eyeliners, skin care...you name it, I'm testing it or I will test it. So far I have the new Kat Von d innerstellar palette, YSL fusion ink foundation, lots from Morphe, LA girl concealer and gel eyeliner pencils, quite a few Kat Von d studded kiss lipsticks, Bite Beauty products and so much more! I'm excited to be back and getting the ball rolling and I hope you're excited too!

Frankly my dear...You're beautiful

I had the privilege of watching what is, in my humble opinion, the greatest movie of all time on the big screen yesterday. Gone With the Wind was showing for its 75th Anniversary and even though I've seen it literally thousands of times, I went to see it in all its glory in the original aspect ratio. It was incredible. As I was watching it I was truly able to see just how beautiful Viviene Lee really was and she took my breath away. I went online and Googled photos of her and Olivia de Haviland(Melanie Hamilton) and these woman were stunning. They weren't overly made up like so many actresses are now. They had porcelain skin, a little blush, mascara, and lipstick. They were for lack of a better word "natural' beauties.

I usually go all out when it comes to makeup. Full coverage foundation, concealer, bronzer, smokey eye, winged liner, bold lips...the works. There's always room for change though, so I'm going to attempt to keep it natural for the next few days and see how I like it. My hubby says he prefers me with no makeup, so we shall see ;) I would like to challenge all of you to give this a try and post pics and comments letting me know how it makes you feel and how you like it!

My First Blog Post!!

Hi everyone! This is my very first blog post, so I thought I would begin by doing the necessary introductions. Hi, my name is Brittany. I'm 27, a wife, a mommy, a friend and a self proclaimed shopaholic and makeup junkie! Yes, another makeup/beauty blog....yawn...BUT this one will be different. Promise. I'm a brutally honest, southern born and bred lady and I will tell it like it is. I don't do fake, it's not in my nature, so with me, what you see is what you get! I'll be posting advice, tips, tricks, reviews and updates on all things makeup and beauty related. There will probably be the occasional random blog about decorating or how cute my kids are or a new tattoo, but what I post will always be interesting and entertaining :) I hope I've peeked your interest enough for you to stick around and see what happens next.
